Sneak Peek – Lady Death #29 in March Previews

by Jim Kuhoric on February 19, 2013

In this issue: Lady Death and the angel Valora venture to a secluded monastery which houses the greatest collection of written history in the Underrealm. It is Lady Death’s hope that victory over the Direknights might be achieved by understanding the origin of the curse which reanimates the dead and imbues them with a hunger for human flesh, but can she possibly uncover the truth before the plague of the living dead overwhelms the entire realm? Story by Mike Wolfer and available with Regular cover painted by Jason Eden, Wraparound by Pow Rodrix, Sultry by Renato Camilo, and incentive Art Deco cover by painter Michael Dipascale!

I hope the art has improved by #29, the 3D modeling style looks stiff so far. These covers look great though.

I guess mine is a minority opinion, judging from some of the comments here, but I like Borstel’s art. It takes a tiny bit of getting used to, but it’s impressive.

I’m still dreaming of Ivan Reis returning to LD, of course.
