by Jim Kuhoric on January 23, 2013

This is it: The most incredible turning point in the history of the LADY DEATH series itself!

Having returned to the Under Realm, Lady Death finds that everything she knew and understood about herself, her magical heritage and her powers have been irrevocably shattered. Not only must she come to terms with new abilities which make her the true embodiment of Death, Hope must also contend with an Under Realm ruled for seven years by her half-sister Tormina.

No offense, but I am not digging Mr. Dipascale’s style or artwork. I mean, lady Death’s face… no.

I (Mr. DiPascale) do the art deco covers. tell me what it is about her face you’re not digging?

Actually, I was talking about Marc Borstel and the face of Lady Death in the preview. I don’t know why I wrote your name, must have been tired when I wrote that. I like your covers and think they are pretty awesome. Keep them coming.

I agree, I read the issue and I see Borstel is a 3D animator. Here he’s posing 3D models, with some retouching etc, but it really just looks like screenshots from an episode of Reboot to me.

I know it requires talent and is art so I don’t want to hate, but it just lacks dynamicness to me.

One particular criticism, Lady Death being a 3D model means she’s rigid and looks the same in every panel. For example, her breasts are frozen in the same position, which is unnatural and odd. If you’re taking up the job of modeling a busty women in a bikini in action poses, ha well, you’ve gotta do it right.

First hint, gravity should apply to them, and they should move… a lot.

If Lady Death’s breasts aren’t fun to look at, ha well I gotta say, the book kind of loses it’s point.

And for the writing, let’s make this book sexier and not just another Conan style violent adventure that is completely straightforward, yes? Conan rocks, but let’s do something unique here, and skimping on the sexy will not do.

    Good point about the breasts.

Great Argue ment, Yes I have been a fan of Lady Death for 20 years, and I want the Sexiness back, The Gore is fun, but I want to see Lady Death use her sexiness as a power too, she can use it to Vanquish her enemies with it! Lady death is suppossed to be a Mature/Adult Comic, and she is Aggressive in every other aspect on the battlefeild, lets see her be sexually aggressive too! That will give me something to really look forward to every month!.
