“The brainchild of Brian Pulido, the African plant monster seen in LADY DEATH #5 looks a bit tranquil here, does it not? But once unleashed by the power of Marcelo Mueller’s pencils, this thing took on a horrific life of its own as it hungrily gobbled-down everyone within its reach… including Illadra / Lady Death. Occasionally when I’m scripting, I find it difficult to find just the right words to describe a new setting, so I’ll pencil out a quick sketch for the artist, such as the burial mound seen in the baby demon sacrifice scene in LADY DEATH #5.”
