by Keith Davidsen on October 21, 2010

October 15, 2010 – Boldly moving forward with its long-term plans for the fan-favorite character, new publisher Boundless Comics proudly announces the January release of LADY DEATH #1, written by original creator Brian Pulido and Mike Wolfer (Gravel, Night of the Living Dead), with dynamic illustrations by Marcelo Mueller.

The new monthly LADY DEATH series has been building heat for months with the release of the lead-in LADY DEATH PREMIERE issue and the new established status quo presented in LADY DEATH #0. Now, in the #1 issue of the series, Lady Death’s new incarnation as the thief Illadra begins to face the truth – her life is a façade masking a heritage of horror and power born in an otherworldly dimension. Driven by painful memories of a confrontation with the mysterious Death Queen, she begins her quest to recapture her former glory… but comes face-to-snarling-face with a werewolf assassin determined to end her mission in gruesome fashion! This new LADY DEATH story arc promises to deliver bold character developments and intense action that will appeal to longtime fans and newcomers alike.

This first volume, collected in 160 pages with artwork by Ron Adrian and Richard Ortiz, will be available in softcover, hardcover, and special autographed variant hardcover editions.

Like the new series, any chance of the cover style artwork inside?
That and the return of Richard Ortiz.

A team up with GrimJack by anychance?

I would love that to the interior artwork being the same as what is on the covers.

Let’s see Lady Death as someone powerful and sexy again, and not helplessly searching for her lost power and identity……yes let us seem the cover art in the interior story too.
